We ate our official Easter Dinner a day early. Tomorrow, it's Easter Brunch out with the in-laws, then rest, relaxation, rejoicing, and recharging. I hope you all have a joyous day.

Top Ten, Baby!

My girl finished in the top ten of the State Spelling Bee this weekend! We're so proud of her. She's going to give it another shot next year, but she's NOT going to study the dictionary 1-2 hours per day like this year's winner did. God bless him, but we're not doing that! Anyway, she's a great speller, an amazing student, and one of my very favorite people. Love love love.

I like to make corned beef on St. Patrick's Day, but this year I remembered to buy an extra so I can make it again soon because, dang, it's yummy and once a year just isn't enough.

My Champion Speller

My Sonja won second place today in the County Spelling Bee! We'll be headed to State in a few weeks. I'm so proud of my girl. She was confident, humble, gracious, and courageous. What more could a mother want?
