First Day of School 2014

So far so good with this school-year. 6th and 8th grade! How did that even happen? I'm so proud of my girls, and raising them through this new phase is a big part of my purpose in life.

My new, full-time job continues to be challenging and fun. The most challenging part has been keeping up with the job PLUS the family. I finally feel like I'm getting a bit of a handle on it. Each new phase in life has its challenges. My challenges in this phase are time and stress management. I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow and improve.

Salmon Lake and Jackson Hole

My blogging is a victim of my new, wonderful full-time job. To everything, there is a season. I'd love to be here more, but I've gotta pace myself in this life! So many wonderful things to fill my days, so few hours in each day. Two of the trips we've taken this summer were to Salmon Lake and Jackson Hole. It's been great to get out and enjoy the beautiful part of the world we're lucky enough to inhabit. More work and more fun ahead in the next six weeks or so - I haven't looked further ahead than that!

I was excited to do an engagement photo shoot for this sweet couple recently. This was one of my favorite shots. More here.

winter

I got caught in this mini-blizzard today while on a walk. Was soaked to the skin. Came home and capture this peaceful moment. Ahhh winter, you are lovely.

My Beanie

I took these this fall and realized I hadn't posted them yet. What? Here's my girl, my snuggler, my sweet, sweet angel. She breaks my heart with her beauty, inside and out.

* * sNoW! * *

I'm so glad that we got a little of the white stuff this weekend. It makes the short, (often) dark days of winter much more cheery in my opinion.

just a few more christmas pics

I had fun decorating our Christmas Eve dinner table this year. I realized that I hadn't yet shared it here, so… here it is!

We had a nice holiday, with lots of rest, traditions, and time with friends and family. Today I de-Christmasified (yup, it's a word) the house, and put up my Winter and Valentine's Day decorations. It looks clean and refreshing. Ready for 2014!

a new year's day walk around the 'hood

Something about it being New Year's Day yesterday inspired me to get my bum out the door for a walk around the neighborhood. It was crisp, and cold, and sunny, and beautiful.

When I arrived home on my front steps, this X (in the photo above) of airplane trails was high in the sky. X marks the spot. I guess I'm home.
