The Pirate, the Angel and the Midnight Maiden (whatever that is)

The girls are excited to trick-or-treat tonight, but they already had lots of fun in their costumes at school on Friday. It's fun to help them dress up and pretend to be something else for awhile. In truth, though, they're all angels.

She's Ten

It's been a wonderful decade with this amazing girl in our lives.

My sweet Sonja: I knew your name when I first gazed at you. My special, special girl. You'll not know the depth of my love for you until you hold your newborn child in your arms for the first time. You are part of me. Half me and half him, yet wholly you, just you, perfectly you. I can never thank you enough for how you've changed me, how you've loved me or how you've shown me corners of my heart I didn't know existed.

Ten lovely years with you. Just the beginning.

And Fall Begins

We've been very busy these days - new work, new play, new friends, new experiences. Luckily our inspiration is matching the challenge and we are plugging away with much joy. Happy Autumn 2010 to you!

I got to spend another great weekend at the BBar Ranch for the Leadership Seminar Series. Stunning setting, wonderful people, amazing food - Heaven on Earth.

Yup, my husband is the greatest. He made this swing for the girls last week. It's just magical.

I hope you're all enjoying fall (or spring, as the case may be) in your part of the world. The days are quite lovely here. I'm already dreaming of the fires we'll enjoy in the fireplace soon, and of the garden we'll plant next spring... but I'm also squeezing all the goodness I can out of these gorgeous, bright, beautiful fall days.
