winter

I got caught in this mini-blizzard today while on a walk. Was soaked to the skin. Came home and capture this peaceful moment. Ahhh winter, you are lovely.

My Beanie

I took these this fall and realized I hadn't posted them yet. What? Here's my girl, my snuggler, my sweet, sweet angel. She breaks my heart with her beauty, inside and out.

* * sNoW! * *

I'm so glad that we got a little of the white stuff this weekend. It makes the short, (often) dark days of winter much more cheery in my opinion.

just a few more christmas pics

I had fun decorating our Christmas Eve dinner table this year. I realized that I hadn't yet shared it here, so… here it is!

We had a nice holiday, with lots of rest, traditions, and time with friends and family. Today I de-Christmasified (yup, it's a word) the house, and put up my Winter and Valentine's Day decorations. It looks clean and refreshing. Ready for 2014!

a new year's day walk around the 'hood

Something about it being New Year's Day yesterday inspired me to get my bum out the door for a walk around the neighborhood. It was crisp, and cold, and sunny, and beautiful.

When I arrived home on my front steps, this X (in the photo above) of airplane trails was high in the sky. X marks the spot. I guess I'm home.

happy new year!

This was me, just before our friends arrived last night to celebrate New Year's Eve with us.  Roaring fire. Feet up. New, sparkly toes. In 2014, I plan to focus on the power of momentum and balance in my life. Doing the next right thing, moment by moment. Pausing to settle into the "now." Loving all that I am and all that I have in this day. This. Very. Day.
