'Cross the Wide Missouri
I enjoyed reading Undaunted Courage this week on the banks of the Missouri River in Sioux City, Nebraska, near the very spot where Sargent Floyd died (the only person on the expedition to die) 106 years ago, almost to the day!
I definitely cringe when it's said that Lewis and Clark were the "first" to make this journey, since this great land was inhabited by generations upon generations of Native peoples long before the Corps of "Discovery" was conceived. But that said, it was an amazing journey and the detail contained in Ambrose's tome is fascinating. I highly recommend it.

I will pick it up next time I'm at the library. Thanks! :)
