Autumn Has Truly Arrived

The season has arrived in my yard. Beautiful, bright, chilly. A good time to go inside and start a fire in the fireplace. Soaking up the season.

Wheee!

Eric built this AMAZING swing set over the past couple of weeks. What a project. It is MUCH larger than I pictured it, but it's just their size. And, it graces our yard quite nicely I think.

Winter Weekend

What a great weekend. Warming our tootsies by the fireplace.

Checking out the wildlife in the backyard.

Enjoying the sparkly-ness on the mantle...

...and the tree.

I feel so blessed to have this time with my family. My daughters are growing up so fast. These are the good old days of my life.

Points for Daddy

Yup, my husband is the greatest. He made this swing for the girls last week. It's just magical.

I hope you're all enjoying fall (or spring, as the case may be) in your part of the world. The days are quite lovely here. I'm already dreaming of the fires we'll enjoy in the fireplace soon, and of the garden we'll plant next spring... but I'm also squeezing all the goodness I can out of these gorgeous, bright, beautiful fall days.

EX-SMELLY-ARMPITS!

Here are my little "Hermiones" casting "Ex-Smelly-Armpits" spells (their version of Harry's "Expelliamus") the other afternoon in the backyard. Oh, spring is starting to arrive friends! I can't wait for more and more green to continue to fill this space. We're even hoping to plant a vegetable garden this year. I know it's something that will take a lot of our time and attention, and I just hope we have enough to devote to it. Few things give me more joy than digging in the dirt and seeing tiny chartreuse shoots make their brave journey out of the earth and into the light.

Here are the girls again, running around in the warmth, just being kids and enjoying their lives.

And here are my tootsies warming themselves in the sun! Ahhhh...
